A principle of design included is balance because of the way the main focus is directly in the middle of the frame, and the background looks the same on both sides. A element of art used in this photo is texture, because of the way you are so close to the image that you can see all the details. A principle of design is pattern and repetition because of the way all the leaves of the plant is all in a row together like a pattern.
